Training and Skills Development
At Dawn Wing we believe that our people are our greatest asset. Training is a fundamental aspect of life at Dawn Wing and our permanent National Training Officer ensures the company is focused on constantly improving our ability to provide a better, more professional service.
As part of Dawn Wing’s commitment to employment creation, the organisation has entered into the Skills Development and Learnerships programme launched by the Transport Education and Training Authority. The learnership programme amongst other things is intended to address the gap between current education and training provision and the needs of the labour market. This learnership programmes is a work – based route for leaning so as to gain a Transport industry qualification, it includes both structured work experience and structured institutional learning.
Through the TETA learnership programme Dawn Wing has provided a platform from which unemployed youth can gain a qualification as well as on the job work experiences which will aid them in gaining employment. Furthermore not only has the company provided individuals with skills, we have gone on to employ a number of talented individuals who have shown great skill.
Our focus is also on critical skills areas and skills programmes such as:
- HIV Aids Awareness
- Customer Services
- Sales and Marketing Development
- Dangerous Goods handling
